Azle, TX – Paul A. Garcia, Jr., 73, of Lake Crest Parkway died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at UMass / Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, MA. He was the former husband of Irene (Almeida) Garcia of Foster.
Born in Hillsboro, TX, a son of Julia (Rodriguez) Garcia of Beaumont, TX and the late Paul A. Garcia, he had lived in Rhode Island, Washington and Oregon before moving to Texas 4 years ago.
Mr. Garcia was a welder for Electric Boat for 6 years before retiring.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of American Legion Post #350, Azle, TX.
Besides his former wife, he is survived by two daughters, Julie Howard of Harmony and Frances Munroe of Chepachet; one son, Paul Garcia III of Rehoboth, MA; four sisters, Henrietta Hartman of Nederland, TX, Alice Lofton of Sour Lake, TX, Frances Rodriguez of Beaumont, TX and Linda Harvey of Groves, TX; two brothers, Robert Garcia of Portland, OR and James Garcia of Sour Lake, TX; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Leon and Jimmy Garcia.
His funeral service, with military honors, will be held MONDAY, JULY 13 at 11 A.M. at the BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
