George M. DeLoura, Jr., 46, of Portsmouth, formerly of Middletown, RI, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 12, 2009 in Portsmouth. He was the husband of Katherine (Dyman) DeLoura. Born in Newport, on July 16, 1962, he was the son of Irene V. (Perry) DeLoura and the late George M. DeLoura.
A lifelong plumber and licensed Journeyman, he worked with his father at DeLoura’s Plumbing for over 20 years, and also for Joseph D. Mello, Jr. Plumbing and Heating Co. in Newport, and Travis Plumbing in Portsmouth. He was a graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1980, and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Newport.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his three sisters Patricia D. Donovan and her husband Kevin of Portsmouth, Sandra I. DeLoura of Middletown, and Donna M. Olszewski and her husband Tony of Portsmouth; his nieces and nephews Robin Downey, Paul, Kyle & Anna Donovan, Tony & Amanda Olszewski, Shawn McKinney, and Heather Kintner, and several aunts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 10am, in St. Mary’s Church, Newport. Burial at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
