Thomas F Gallen -- East Providence

William W. Tripp Funeral Home East Providence ~ Thomas F. Gallen, 62, of Rumford, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at home. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Grimes) Gallen. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was a son of Muriel M. (Burke) Gallen of NY and the late John J. Gallen. Tom was a Vietnam Era Army veteran. He was the Assistant Clerk of Courts in Worcester, MA for 33 years until retiring. Tom loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Besides his wife and mother he leaves a son, Thomas P. Gallen of Providence; two brothers, John J. Gallen of FL and Stephen M. Gallen of MO; two sisters, Elizabeth M. O’Connell of MI and Margaret M. Parham of PA and many nieces and nephews. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. VISITATION Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. If desired, gifts in his memory to the Children’s Hospital Trust, One Autumn St. #731, Boston, MA 02215-5301 will be appreciated.
