Woonsocket

Barbara A. Elderkin, 81, of Woonsocket, died Monday at Mt. St. Francis Health Ctr. She was the wife of Vincent P. “Buddy” Elderkin. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Michael F. and Madeline (Parkinson) Quinn. Her sons Steven and Richard Elderkin of Lincoln, William and Peter Elderkin of Cumberland, Thomas Elderkin of E. Greenwich and John Elderkin of Central Falls, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren survive her. She was the mother of the late Michael Elderkin and the sister of the late Raymond Quinn. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:00 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland, RI 02864 would be appreciated.
