Marian Davis Jones, 81, formerly of Chapel Terrace, Newport, died Thursday August 6, 2009 at the Village House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Harry Milton Jones. Born in Baltimore, MD on January 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Octavis and Laura (Blackston) Davis.

Marian spent her life taking care of her home and family. She also studied the teachings of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had resided at the Village House on Harrison Avenue for the past 7 years and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her sons Harry M. Jones, Jr. and his wife Bambi L. Jones, and Chester L. Jones, all of Newport; her grandchildren, Chester, Jason, and Contessa; her great-grandchildren Catrina, Jason, Bailey, and Ariana; and her sister Laura Johnston of Riverside.

Funeral Services are private.
