Madeleine R. Leo (D’Errico), 90, of Old Mill Road, Block Island, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009, in South County Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Edward H. J. Leo. Born in San Clemente, Italy, a daughter of the late Sebastiano and Marianna (Granatella) D’Errico.

Prior to moving to Block Island in 1999 she lived in Phoenixville, PA where she and her husband operated a gift and beauty shop. She also was a salesperson at the Heather Shop, a clothing store in Reading, PA. and was a communicant of St. Andrew Church.

Mrs. Leo is survived by a daughter, Theresa Sisto, with whom she resided; a son, John E. Leo of Phoenixville, PA; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009, at 11 am in St. Andrew Church, Chapel Street, Block Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Phoenixville, PA, on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 10 am. Interment will follow.
