Alan F Tweddle -- North Kingstown
North Kingstown – Alan F. Tweddle, age 68, of Cranston Circle passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Calabro) Tweddle.
Born in Gateshead, England, a son of the late John and May (Fulton) Tweddle, he came to the United States in 1963 and lived in Warwick before moving to North Kingstown. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of William Shields American Legion Post 43, Warwick. He worked for over thirty years as a machinist at C. O. Hoffacker in Cranston. He was a former treasurer and life-long member of the West Side Little League in Warwick.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Daniel J. Tweddle of Danville, CA and Alan J. Tweddle of Coventry; one daughter TaraJean R. Trzaskawka of Levittown, PA, ten grandchildren and his brother-in-law Raymond Titus of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Alma Titus, Agnes Littlefair and John Tweddle.
Funeral service Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick. Calling hours Wednesday 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
