Norman E Cotnoir -- North Kingstown

Norman E. Cotnoir, 88, of Shelley Drive, died Thursday at Shady Acres Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Myrtle B. (Bigelow) Cotnoir. Born in Fitchburg, MA, he was a son of the late Eugene and Blanche (Marion) Cotnoir.

Mr. Cotnoir was an Electrical Engineer with Brown & Sharpe until his retirement in 1983. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1949. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

He was the loving father of Paul Cotnoir of Baxter, TN, Annette Nedeau of Tiverton, Jeanne Morra of North Kingstown, Marie Flanagan of Sevierville, TN, Robert Cotnoir of Cookeville, TN, and Christine DeSalvo of Richmond and their spouses. Caring brother of Leonard Cotnoir of Port St. Lucie, FL and Clement Cotnoir of Fitchburg, MA. Devoted grandfather of ten and great grandfather of two. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 am from THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-8 pm and Saturday 8:00-9:30 am. Gifts in his memory to St. Bernard Church Building Fund, 275 Tower Hill Rd., North Kingstown, RI 02852 would be appreciated.
