Fortuna "Una" D (Impagliazzo) Sciarra -- North Providence

Fortuna D. “Una“ (Impagliazzo) Sciarra, 81, a hairdresser of Howe Street, North Providence, died Monday at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Italo A. Sciarra, they were married in 1949 at Holy Ghost Church.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore Impagliazzo and Celia (DiNofrio) Impagliazzo-Petrocchi.

Mrs. Sciarra was very charitable and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her loving family.

She was the devoted mother of Larry A. Sciarra of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Deb A. Pellegrino of North Providence, and Melissa A. Penick of Warwick. Caring sister of Dolores Loiselle and Gloria Geremia both of North Providence and the late Guy Impagliazzo. Cherished grandmother of five.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-8 pm.
