Sarah P. Gauvin, 87, of Pawtucket, died Saturday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Holyoke, MA, she was a daughter of the late Francis X. and Roseanna (Laplante) Gauvin. Miss Gauvin had been employed as a bookkeeper for many years prior to her retirement. She was an active volunteer at the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center and the Leon Mathieu Center. Her god-daughter Florence M. Burke and Nolan and Angel Burke and many friends survive her. She was the sister of the late Marcelle Gauvin. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Edward Church, Weeden St., Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30. In lieu of flowers, donations to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
