East Providence – Eleanor P. Schultz, 90, of Wamponoag Trail and formerly of Underwood Ave., Warwick, died Friday at Summit Commons, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles A. Schultz.

Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Thomas J. H. and Gertrude A. (Buskard) Peirce, she had lived in Warwick since 1952 before moving to East Providence. She worked for twenty years as the office manager of her husband’s company, the Charles A. Schultz Company of Warwick before retiring in 1978.

Eleanor was a long-time member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and served on various committees. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines, loved to do needlework and she and her husband enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by three daughters Virginia S. Schartner of Concord, NH, Marilyn L. Shepard of Pasadena, MD and Linda L. Caine of Riverside; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mildred, Stanton, Mason and Thomas J.H. Peirce Jr.

Funeral service Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Asbury United Methodist Church, Ann Mary Brown Drive, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, Wednesday 5-7 PM.
