Therese Lavoie, 79 of Wyoming, R. I. died Wednesday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Gerard Lavoie.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Dolores (Hebert) Robitaille. Mrs. Lavoie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who opened her heart to everyone. She was a gourmet cook, an avid gardener of flowers and herbs, enjoyed sewing, making braided rugs, and painter of primitive art.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters Donna List of Coventry, Linda Borcuk of Richmond, three sons, David Lavoie of Richmond, Steven Lavoie of Richmond and Richard "Rick" Lavoie of Charlestown. She was the sister of Lucille St. Sauveur of Warwick, grandmother of Kathleen, Kelley, Brian, Jared, Jana, Jennifer, Joshua and great grandmother of Brady.

Funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours Sunday from 2-5pm. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Beacon Hospice 6946 Post Rd. North Kingstown RI 02852.
