Howard L Rogers -- Lincoln

Rogers, Howard L., 82, of Maple Ave, died October 7, 2009 at the Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Arlene B. (Brewer) Rogers. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Ethel (Reed) Rogers.

Mr. Rogers was a mechanical engineer and the manager of the Unit Heater Division of the former ITT Grinnell Co. of Providence for 20 years until retiring. A Mason, he was a member of the Roger Williams Lodge #32, F and AM. He was a former member of the American Society of Quality Control, the Providence Engineering Society, the Rhode Island Beekeepers, and the Big Brothers of Rhode Island, where he served as secretary.

Besides his wife, Howard leaves a sister, Edith Manchester and her husband Arnold of Tiverton, and a nephew, Stephen King. He was the brother of the late Florence King.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 AM to 12 Noon with a Masonic service at 11:30 AM and a funeral service at 12 Noon in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
