Valerie A. Pontarelli, 49, of Exeter, died peacefully at Coventry Skilled Nursing Center on October 8, 2009. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of Judith A. (Wilson) Greene.

Besides her loving mother, Valerie leaves a son, Donald F. Pontarelli of North Kingstown and a daughter, Dorrie A. Pontarelli of Exeter. Cherished sister of Robert Shadeck of Exeter, Craig Shadeck of North Kingstown, Joseph Greene of Savanah, GA, Thomas Greene of Copperas Cove, TX, and Judith Torres of Exeter. She was the sister of the late Richard Shadeck.

Her funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
