MAROCCO, CELESTE (DiPasquale), 93 ,passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at Cherry Hill Manor.
She was the beloved wife of the late Adolph (Rudy) Marocco
Born in Attleboro MA, a daughter of the late Joseph DiPasquale and Elvira (Amadio) DiPasquale-DiBiase, she previously lived in Providence.
Mrs Marocco had been employed as the Business Manager by Internal Medicine Associates, Inc. for over 35 years prior to her retirement. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking, knitting and crocheting and most of all providing much love and support to her closely-knit family. She was State Regent and a member of the Daughters of Isabella Sacred Heart Circle of St. Bartholomew Church, the Pontecorve Lodge Order of the Sons of Italy in America, 7th Ward Democratic Club and the Hope Neighborhood Association.
She is survived by her loving daughter Elaine Verduchi and her husband Clifford, and her loving son Joseph Marocco and his wife Roberta both of Cranston, and her cherished grandchildren Kristen L. Riley and Lauren A. King of Cranston. She was the great-grandmother of Alexander and Grace Riley and Gianna Olivia King.
She was the sister of the late Angelina Lombardi, Sistilia Tetzlaff, Gloria Piccirilli, Hector, Aurelio and Joseph DiBiase, Louise Caprara, Felicia Saucier, Anna Garzone, Camille Heckle and the step-daughter of the late Angelo DiBiase.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday October 15, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. from \'\'WOODLAWN\'\' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann\'s Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Holy Apostles Church , 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, R.I. 02921 in her memory would be appreciated.
