Richard R Gregory -- Cranston

Richard R. Gregory, 57, of Mather Avenue, died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joanne P. (Sheehan) Gregory for 27 years.

Born in North Kingstown, he was a loving son of Robert R. Gregory of Warwick and the late Helen E. (Anderson) Gregory.

Richard was a foreman for the City of Cranston Highway Division for 20 years. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 251 and a former member of Laborers International Union Local 1322. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New York Giants fan.

He was the devoted father of Christopher R. Gregory of Cranston. Cherished brother of Robert R. Gregory of Bethel Park, PA and the late Edward T. Gregory.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Peter Church, 350 Fair St., Warwick, RI 02888 would be appreciated.
