Virginia C. “Ginny” (Dodsworth) Tasso, 51, of Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Newport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Michael C. Tasso Jr. Born in Waltham, MA on February 16, 1958, she was the daughter of the late David Dodsworth of Harwich, MA, and Crosby & Kirke Higgins of Chatham, MA.

Ginny attended Washington College in Maryland. She was an animal lover, an avid reader, and enjoyed summers on the beach and spending time on Cape Cod. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend and truly touched the lives of so many.

Besides her husband of 22 years, she is survived by her daughters Alexandra A. Tasso of Middletown, RI, and Jessica Cardillo Douglas and her husband Jason of Riverside, RI; her brothers, David Dodsworth and his wife Beverly and Freeman Dodsworth and his wife Ellen; a sister-in-law Madeline Snapp and her husband Dwight; her brothers-in-law Charlie Tasso and his wife Lorraine, Arthur Tasso and his wife Lavenia and James Tasso and his wife Janice; also her former husband Jim Cardillo and his wife Elizabeth, and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, in St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 625 Main Street, Chatham, MA at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 23, from 4-7pm in the O’Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring St., Newport, RI.
