Cumberland ~ Mildred A. (Zwolenski) Laston, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Chester H. Laston, Sr. for 65 years. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Julian and Lenore (Skurka) Zwolenski. Millie resided in Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland in 1959. She was an inspector at Texas Instruments for 10 years until retiring. Millie was a member of the RI Post Card Club; former secretary of St. Aidan’s Seniors and a former member of the Writers Guild. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Veronica “Ronnie” Brousseau and her husband Gerard and Vanessa Beaudoin and her husband Denis all of Cumberland; a son, Chester H. Laston, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Burrillville; a grandson, Sean McVeigh and his wife Mary; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Catie McVeigh; a brother, Raymond Zwolenski all of Cumberland and a sister, Helen Brookbank of Osterville, MA. She was the sister of the late Veronica Jones and Walter Zwolenski. VISITATION Monday 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
