John C. Farrell, 81, of Sandro Circle , died Wednesday October 21, 2009 in the Kent Regency Center, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn S. (Swartwood) Farrell, father of Stephen D. Farrell of Warwick and two grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ruth Tinkham – Stubbs and Lillian Hoffman.
Mr. Farrell was born in East Providence, a son of the late Albert and Lillian (Campbell) Farrell.
He was an industrial engineer for the Murdock Webbing Co. in Central Falls for many years until his retirement. He was Elder Pastor for over fifty years of the Buttonwoods Bible Chapel in Warwick and had been a co-founder of the West Bay Christian Academy in North Kingstown.
