Lincoln ~ John J. Yates, Jr., 51, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Karen M. (Pelletier) Yates for 28 years. Born in San Gabriel, California, a son of the late John J., Sr. and Joyce D. (Page) Yates, he resided in Pawtucket before moving to Lincoln in August of 2005. John was a car hauler for Subaru of New England for the past 11 years. He loved spending time with his family. Besides his wife he leaves three children, USAF Senior Airman John J. Yates, III stationed in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Melissa R. J. Yates and Christopher L. Yates both of Lincoln; a brother, Philip Yates of California; a sister, Deanna Anthony of Georgia and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Road, Pawtucket.
