Ernest Lemire, 89, of Central Falls, died Saturday at Home & Hospice of RI Inpatient Ctr. He was the husband of Maureen (McNaught) Lemire. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late William and Albina (Cote) Lemire. Mr. Lemire was employed as a carpenter with Union Local #342 for 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a member of the Eugene T. Lefebvre VFW Post #1271 and American Legion Post # 75. He is also survived by his son Robert and his wife Cynthia Bessette and their children James & Rebecca, his daughter Barbara and her husband Douglas Robillard and their children Eric, Justin & Andrew, and his daughter in law Laura Lemire and her children Tom, Tim and David. He was the father of the late Ernest O. Lemire. He was also predeceased by 8 siblings. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:15 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St., Central Falls. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
