LOBRIS, KATHERINE (Abraham), 99 of Freese Street passed away as she lived, peacefully and quietly at home on August 21st. She was cared for and surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Richard and Sadie Abraham, she lived most of her life in Providence. Katherine was the wife of the late Louis Lobris. They were deeply devoted to each other for 53 years.
Mrs. Lobris was employed at the Providence Biltmore Hotel and later at Providence College until her retirement in 1985. She was a communicant of St. George Church and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality.
Katherine will be missed by her loving daughters Carmella (Cammy) Abbood and her husband Samuel (Buddy) and Jennie DiLullo and her husband Bernard Sr. Her grandchildren, Karen Abbood, Bernard Jr., and Donna DiLullo, Katheryn and Michael Cote, Louis DiLullo, Michael and Teresa Abbood, and Janis and Nicholas Stufano, are grateful for her love, long presence and guidance in their lives. She is also survived by her beloved great grandchildren, Elizabeth A. DiLullo, Emily and Thomas Abbood and Alexa and Christian Stufano.
Katherine's funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. from St. George at St. Raymond Church 1240 North Main Street, Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Tuesday at the funeral home from 4-8 PM. www.WoodlawnGattone.com
