
DeCotis, Jason W., 35, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2012 surrounded by family that he loved. He was the beloved son of Frank and Kathleen DeCotis of Cranston. He was the grandson of Clara (Luongo) DeCotis. Jason was the proud father of Victor and Anthony DeCotis, also of Cranston.
Jason impacted many lives with his infectious personality and his passion for life and his Lord Jesus. He so enjoyed singing and worshipping with music. He was a gifted athlete and an avid sports fan. Jason worked for 14 years as a Program Director at Spurwink RI, where he enthusiastically advocated for the behaviorally challenged, he was deeply loved by his staff and co-workers.
In addition to his parents and sons, Jason leaves behind siblings: Lori DeCotis Brown (Antonio Ramos), Frank DeCotis (Debbie) of East Providence, RI, Thomas DeCotis (Kelly) of Spring Hill, FL, and Marc Marcello (Anna) of Palmdale, CA. He also leaves behind his former wife, Gina Coelho DeCotis, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and several lifelong childhood friends whom he loved dearly.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. in the Apponaug Pentecostal Church, 75 Prospect Street, Warwick. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
