DelPrete, Louise (Orabona) , died peacefully, Friday , November 30, 2012, at home. She was married for 65 years to Joseph B. DelPrete.Mrs. DelPrete was born in Providence the daughter of the late Albert and Lucy Orabona.

After graduating from St. Xavier in 1939, Mrs. DelPrete worked in accounts receivable for both Weybosset Pure Foods and Knight Liquors before retiring in 2000.

When not working, she enjoyed cooking Italian meals , reading mystery novels and caring for her beloved dog Sydney.

She is survived by her devoted daughter and caretaker, Alberta DelPrete (husband Dan Asquino) and another daughter, Arlene Read; three grandchildren: Christelle DelPrete and Brad and Seth Read. She leaves two beloved brothers, Louis Orabona and Herbert Orabona and his wife, Emma.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 am from Woodlawn, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Matthew\\\\\\\'s Church on Elmwood Ave., Cranston. Visiting Hours are from 4-7 pm., Monday, December 3, 2012. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Matthew Church Restoration Fund, 15 Francis Ave., Cranston, RI 02910.
