Leroy G. "Roy" Moore, 85, of Lakehurst Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Coventry Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Coventry, RI.
Born in Coventry, RI, he was the husband of Ethel (Nye) Moore. They were married for fifty-eight years. He was the son of the late E. Stanley and Esther L. (Cornell) Moore. Leroy was a mechanic for the United Transit Company for many years before retiring in 1987. He was a US Army Air Force Veteran during peacetime.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter; Cheryl George, a brother; Clarence Moore, a sister; June Fischer, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers; Willard S. Moore, Milton C. Moore and Waldo W. Moore, and three sisters; Winifred E. Schmitz, Hazel T. Bowen and Myrtle L. Moore-Craig.
His funeral services will be private and are under the direction of Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory.
