Alexander "The Belt" H Ewanyk -- Coventry

Alexander H. “The Belt” Ewanyk, 87, passed away at home on Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was the husband of Dorothy Welch-Ewanyk of Coventry. Born in New London, CT, he was the son of the late William and Eva (Pararniuk) Ewanyk.
Mr. Ewanyk was a Navy Veteran of WWII, the former owner of Masterbelt Company, a lifetime member of the American Legion of Norwalk, CT and a 53 year member of the West Warwick Elks Club.
Besides his wife Dorothy, he is survived by a niece Helen I. Gray of Cranston and a grandniece Roberta Ribeiro of Coventry and her companion Ian Hyatt and a grandnephew Michael Ribeiro of Cranston.
Visitation will be at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Monday, January 7th from 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM followed with a committal service with Military Honors at the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
