Mary M. Wonders, 65, of Valley St. died Friday in the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket.
A life long Central Falls resident she was the daughter of the late William F. and Bertha E. (Geraghty) Lanigan.
She was employed by the City of Central Falls for the past ten years as the Program Manager for Senior Services.
She was also the Site Manager for The Children's Crusade, Providence and the Seniors Liason at the office of Rep. Patrick Kennedy in Providence.
Among her children was the late Jon E. Wonders who's company she now enjoys. Surviving children are mark G. Wonder of Germany, Robert T. Wonders, Valarie S. Whalen and Scott V. Wonders of Central Falls and adopted son Angelo Garcia. She also leaves a sister, Frances M. Goulet of Cumberland and was the sister of the late Patricia Lanigan. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Anita, Aron and Claudia. Her life was also made complete by her nephews Michael and Paul, niece Patricia and belated family members Barbara and brother-in-law Robert Goulet as well a numerous other relatives and treasured friends.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, Broad St., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
