Adored and loved his family...

REBELLO Funeral Home, Inc. Jack B. Sebastiao, 44, of 66 East Transit St., died unexpectedly at home, Monday, October 16, 2006. He was the husband of Maria deFatima (Costa) Sebastiao.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of Maria Merces (Bernardo) Sebastiao of Mississagua, Canada and the late Jose Vieira Sebastiao.

Jack was a well-known music artist who has been instrumental in keeping Portuguese traditions and music alive, especially with younger people. Besides being a recording artist, he owned his own music studio and was a musician, music producer and video director. Jack loved and adored his family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves his children, Jack Sebastiao Jr. and Kelly Sesbastiao, both at home; three brothers, Agostinho Sebastiao of Warwick, and Francisco Sebastiao and Marcos Sebastiao, both of Mississagua, Cananda; four sisters, Lucia Andrade of Montreal, Canada, and Maria Jose Martins, Mercedes Amaral, and Rosa Rodrigues, all of Mississagua; 9 nephews, 7 nieces, 1 great nephew and 1 great niece.

A Mass of Chrisian Burial will celebrated at 10am, Friday, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St. Providence. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours will be held in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, on Thursday from 4-8pm.

Jack i cant believe that this has happed, i cant even think that is true but it is. Im so sad to think that i will never be able to see your face agian, please watch over your family, friends and your fans in this time of sorrow. May god rest your soul and keep you safe. I didn't know Jack personally but i know of his love for music and I have a family member that knew Jack very well. Its a very sad time for the Portugeese community. My prayers go out to his family and may them find the strength they need to get through this difficult time and the days to come. May you rest in peace Jack, you will be greatly missed by many.
