Elizabeth “Betty” (Esposito) Zambarano
98, formerly of Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, died Sunday February 25, 2007 at Cortland Place Life Care, Greenville. She was the wife of the late Louis “Happy” Zambarano. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Lorenzina (Gismondi) Esposito-Ardente. Mrs. Zambarano was a salesperson for the former Peerless Company of Providence before her retirement. For many years, she and her husband “Happy” owned a large boarding house in Boston. They later returned to Providence and after the death of her husband she resided at Arlington Manor in Cranston. Her smile and sense of humor will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by one brother George Ardente of St. Augustine, FL. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Delfino, Rose Forte, Gloria Errico, Christine Bohegian, John Esposito and Ronald Ardente.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 5-8 pm.
