Mark M. West, Sr., 54, of Sykesville, MD, formerly of Little Compton, RI, died at home, Friday, December 28, 2007, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was a commercial fisherman out of Westport and Tiverton most of his life.

He will be sadly missed by his son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Mark, Jr., Maggie and Nora West of Sykesville; his son, Roger C. West of Little Compton; his wife of 32 years, Priscilla West of Little Compton; his mother, Violet (Thatcher) King of Westport, MA; siblings, Bonnie Brow of RI, Violet “Jo-Jo” Sylvaria of Fairhaven, MA and Roger F. West of Charlestown, WV, relatives and friends.
He was the son of the late Roger F. West.

A private service will be held in Maryland and a memorial service will be held locally at a later date.
