Donald "Don" Thibault -- --Elsewhere
Donald “Don” Thibault, 57, passed away April 28, 2008 at Midland Hospice In Kansas. He was born August 16, 1950 in Providence, RI, the son of the late Louis P. and Palmina Thibault, he was raised in Johnston. He joined the Air Force at 18, spent his military service in Texas and Kansas. He was assigned to the US Air Force Stratotanker refueling planes. Upon discharge, he moved to Topeka and joined the US Air Force Reserves. In recent years, he retired from the Air Force Reserves and was instrumental in setting up and assisting at the annual Topeka air shows.
He married Margaret St. Louis September 6, 1985 in Topeka. Don was a truck driver for Price Trucking. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 400 and an avid hockey fan.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, two sons Vincent at home and Jason of Streetsboro, OH and five siblings, twin Dianne Thibault of West Warwick, Germaine Thibault of Westerly, Raymond Thibault of Greenville, Doris Rizzini of South County and Albert Thibault of Cranston. He was the brother of the late William Thibault.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 2 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post No. 400.
