East Providence – Doris L. Mayoh, 87, of Newman Avenue, Rumford died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence.
Born in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of the late Frank H. and Hilda (Gray) Mayoh, she had lived in Pawtucket for 40 years before moving to Rumford 7 years ago.
Miss Mayoh was an administrative assistant for Graphic Communications, Inc., East Providence for 10 years before retiring.
She was a graduate of Pawtucket High School and Bryant College.
She was a past president of the Women’s Advertising Club of Rhode Island.
A member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pawtucket, she was a member of the Altar Guild, the ECW, the Women’s Guild, a Sunday School teacher and was active in its Thrift Shop.
She is survived by one sister, Helen F. Greenhalgh of Bristol; two grandnephews, Daniel Hey of Warwick and James Hey of Attleboro, MA. She was the aunt and godmother of the late Lynne Hey and the sister of the late James E. Mayoh.
A Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving will be held THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18 at 11 A.M. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pawtucket.
