I am truly saddened about my aunt elaine passing, i never imagined she would go so soon, i will always love and miss her and i know that she is with my dear uncle bud,and that thought alone heals my heart -- michelle leigh simpson (02/12/09)
I am so saddened to see my Aunt Elaine has passed. I grew up going to her and my Uncle Bud's (Sam's) house. I have not been home in over 16 years except for very short visits but have never forgotten the impact both of them had on me. Elaine used to take me and my brothers Chris and Aaron on the Huff and Puff Trail and make us do exercises much like I make my Marines do now! :-) She has always been a wonderful and beautiful soul and will be missed dearly. Todd, Kevin, and Sarah, I am deeply sorry for your loss but know that she has touched many lives. -- Leah (Salzer) Jarona (02/03/09)
I can't believe that my friend of 54 years is gone. She was the sweetest, most caring, compassionate, humble, bright person. Elaine always thought of others first and embraced the whole world with love. She was joy-filled and attributed it to her love for the good Lord. We were neighbors and students together from elementary school through high school, and were in each other's wedding parties. Even though Elaine moved across the country, we started our Saturday mornings with a phone call -- sometimes with just a hello and I love you, or sometimes, an hour or more conversation about everything in the universe. My life was enriched for having had her as a part of it. I will forever be grateful for the gift of her friendship. Kevin, Todd and Sara, I wish I could convey my sympathy in person. Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. If you ever visit RI, you have a place to stay with me. If you just want to talk about your mom to one who knew her very well, I would embrace the opportunity. I miss her giggles, her warmth, her understanding, her caring and being able to talk about anything and everything with her. I am filled with sadness and a void that no one else can fill. I rejoice, however, knowing she has a special place in heaven and take solace in believing that our time on this earth is but a drop in the bucket compared to eternity. With God’s grace, we will be together again. -- Love, Barbara (02/02/09)
Aloha
Elaine was a lovely person, and a friend. I cut her hair for years. She was kind, thoughtful, and truly cared. The world could use more people like her.
When I opened my salon in my home. She came and drew a little picture of the salon with the french doors. I used that on my notes, to notify my customer of my new location. She did that out of the goodness of her heart.
Sarah, I haven't seen you since you left for college. I send you much aloha, your mom was a good lady. If you love someone they are always in your heart, no one can ever take that away.
Rest know this, you mom is with Jesus. We do not always know why, these things happen. Some day when we get to heaven, we will understand.
Just know I care, lots of people are praying for you and your family. We will miss her also !
Rest in the loving arms of Jesus. -- Much Aloha Barbie Lahti (02/01/09)
