Mr. Robert M. Huey, age 100, of 26 Acacia Road, Bristol, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Grace Barker Nursing Center, Warren. He was the husband of Jessie (Sanford) Huey, his wife of 64 years. Born in Lincoln, RI he was the son of the late Harold I. and Rita (Marshall) Huey. Mr. Huey celebrated his 100th birthday in January with his family and friends. Mr. Huey worked in the Research and Development Department for the former Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation formerly in Bristol and Portsmouth. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Bristol and a member of the Board of Deacons at the Church. He was a member of the St. Alban’s Lodge of Masons in Bristol, he had served as a board member of the Rogers Free Library, a former Scout Leader and president of the Kaiser Retirees. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert M. Huey, Jr. of Gig Harbor, WA and a daughter, Joan Sanford-Greene of Yarmouth, ME and a brother, Donald Huey of Hillsboro, OR.
