James E DiChristofaro -- Scituate
Scituate – James E. DiChristofaro, 55, of Hope, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maureen L. (Podgurski) DiChristofaro. Mr. and Mrs. DiChristofaro celebrated their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary on July 7, 2008.
Born in Providence he was a son of Ferdinand DiChristofaro of Sebastian, FL and Sarah A. Graham of West Greenwich and had lived in Warwick before moving to Hope three years ago. He worked for thirty years for the Kent County Water Authority before retiring last month due to his illness.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his son Josh J. DiChristofaro and his daughter Meghan K. DiChristofaro both of Warwick; his brothers George DiChristofaro of West Warwick and David DiChristofaro of Warwick and his sisters Sarah Ann Comella of Cranston, Kathleen Roch of West Warwick, Mary Higgins of West Danville, VT, Martha Barry of Stuart, FL and Christine Tevyaw of Graham, NC.
Jim was an avid motorcyclist. He had a good sense of humor and was very witty. He is also being remembered as a family oriented man who was a good friend to many.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick. Jim’s family and friends are invited to the home that he loved on Sunday at 1:00 PM for a celebration of his life. Burial will be private.
