Mrs. Rita Louise (Johnson) Silvia, age 86, of 104 Clay Street, Central Falls and formerly of Bristol and Warren, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Masion Nursing Home in Central Falls. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Silvia. Born in Cumberland, RI she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian May (Palmer) Johnson. A homemaker, she was a resident of Bristol from 1978 to the early 1990’s, moving to Park Place on Main Street in Warren for a few years and previous to living in East Bay she was a former resident of Providence for a number of years.
She is survived by two sons, Robert G. Silvia of North Smithfield and Richard E. Silvia of West Warwick, RI, two step sons, Ernest Silvia of Woonsocket and Arthur Silvia of Providence, five grandchildren, Justin R., Mandy Lyn and Caitlin M. Silvia, Robert H. and Dawn Marie Silvia, a foster granddaughter, Jennie Brewerton, and a great granddaughter, Stori Page Silvia, a sister, Eliza St. Pierre of Detroit, Michigan and a brother, Phillip Dell of Jamestown. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a step son, Joseph E. Silvia, Jr., a great grandson, Albert Silvia, a sister, Joyce Dell and a brother, George Dell.
