Richard E Faille -- East Providence
East Providence ~ Richard E. Faille of Rumford, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at home, two days before his 74th birthday. He was the beloved husband of Yvonne A. (Turenne) Faille for 51 years. Born in Boston, a son of the late Nelson and Estelle (Bechard) Faille, he resided in Central Falls before moving to Rumford in 1964. Dick was a Korean War US Marine veteran. He was an East Providence school bus driver for 10 years until retiring in 2005. Previously, he and his wife were the proprietors of Richard’s Cafeteria at the Paramount Greeting Card Company for 21 years. Dick was a Scout Master for Troop 1, Central Falls for 3 years and later became Scout Master of Troop 88, Rumford for 15 years. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Cynthia A. Devers and her husband Douglas of Providence and Candace F. Andrade and her husband Mario of No. Kingstown; two sons, Richard E. Faille, II and his wife Cathy of Maryland and Douglas R. Faille and his wife Joanne of Maine; two sisters, Joanne Lapre of Lincoln and Pauline Roy of Florida; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Sean, Kevin, Christina, Alex, Jeffrey, Gabrielle and Mason and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Barbara A. Faille and the brother of the late Robert Faille. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Committal service will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
