Linda K (Williams) O'Connell -- Jamestown

Linda K. (Williams) O'Connell, 60, of Bayberry Road, a hairdresser, died Thursday in Newport Hospital, Newport. She was the devoted wife of Timothy J. O'Connell.

Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Bertram and A. Marie ( Danis) Williams, she had lived in Jamestown for most of her life.

She had been employed with Hair Patterns Plus. Mrs. O'Connell was an active member of St. Mark's Church, Jamestown, a member of The St. Mark's Church Women's Club, and enjoyed painting.

She was the loving mother of Matthew J. O'Connell of Warwick, Deborah L. O'Connell of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eric T. O'Connell of Allston, MA. She is survived by two brothers Carl Williams of Portsmouth and Christopher Williams of NH; nine sisters, Claudia Williams of NH, Susan Lyons of NH, Joan Darrell of Kentucky, Nancy Maloney of Warwick, Mary Ellen Battey of North Kingstown, Catherine Gregory of North Kingstown, Tricia Weldy of PA, Bobbie Jo Sortes of MA, and Jennifer Maloney of Warwick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Calling hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center of Newport, 20 Powell Avenue, Newport, RI 02840 would be appreciated.
