Robert Aldrich, Jr. -- North Kingstown
Robert Aldrich Jr. of North Kingstown died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 after a long illness. He was born in Providence, RI on June 18, 1944.
He was a life long resident of North Kingstown. He was the son of the late Robert and Leah Aldrich and the stepson of the late Katharine Aldrich. He is survived by his son, Robert and his wife Robyn, two grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betsey Dunley, Bethia “Penny” Geuss and a stepbrother, Alfred Maybach, Jr., all of North Kingstown and a stepsister, Katharine Earle of Lorton, VA.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was employed at Stanley-Bostitch for 28 years prior to his illness. He was also a former member of Washington Lodge #5 AF & AM. Bob was a golf enthusiast and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed participating in a spirited political discussion.
His family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the professional and compassionate care he received from the nurses and staff at South County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the last several years.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, RI on Wednesday, June 24 th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to North Kingstown-Exeter Animal Protection League, Inc., 500 Stony Lane, North Kingstown, RI 02852 will be appreciated.
