Larry Anderson -- Warwick

Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home Larry Anderson, 97, of Warwick, died Thursday at Brentwood Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Edlund) Anderson and the late Gemma (D'Errico) Anderson.

Born in Providence, he was the oldest of six siblings born to the late Carl L. and Hilda (Larson) Anderson; he had lived in Cooper City, FL for 35 years before returning to Rhode Island 10 years ago.

A baker, Mr. Anderson was the owner and operator of Kennedy's Bakery in Conimicut.

He was the beloved father of Judith A. Elliott and her husband Richard of West Greenwich. Caring step father of Kenneth Cooke and his wife Catherine of Palm Desert, CA. Loving grandfather of Kim E. Peterson and her husband Mark of West Greenwich, Richard Elliott, III and his wife Patricia of Stoneham, MA, and Peter L. Elliott of Warwick. Cherished great grandfather of Benjamin L. Peterson and Gabriel D. Elliott.

A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Peirce Street, East Greenwich. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 4-6 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to The Promise Fund, 20 Squirrel Run, West Greenwich, RI 02817 would be appreciated.
